Adjusting To Your New Eyewear

Avoid switching back and forth from your new prescription to your old glasses

• Build up your wear time, each day will get easier and longer
• To avoid scratches and coating issues, use approved cloths and cleaner
• Progressive Addition Lenses (no line bifocal) or Regular bifocal/trifocal (line)
  • Hold reading material at a comfortable reading distance. Looking up and into the distance: this is your distance vision.
  • When viewing an object, simply point your nose at it and adjust your chin until the object comes into clear focus.
  • This will become easier as you adapt to your glasses and the idea of bifocals.
• Astigmatism
  • Initially you may experience a distorted or swimming effect with the glasses, but this will go away as you adapt.
• First time Wearer
  • It is very exciting to be able to see so clearly, but it can still take time to adapt.
• If you need an adjustment, we can adjust your glasses any time at no charge and no appointment needed.
• All new prescription glasses can take 1-2 weeks to get adapted.

Frame/Lens Warranty

The frame has a one-year warranty against manufacturer’s defect. You will need to bring in all broken parts and we will either repair it or replace it (excludes packages).

Lens warranty depends on the type of lens that is purchased; please inquire in the optical area.

Adjusting an old frame

When we adjust a frame to fit better for you, breakage can happen. Please be aware that when adjusting an old frame, it is more likely.

When you take a frame off and on every day it causes the frame to bend, after so long and many times of doing that, it can break especially when we try to get it back to its original position. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for any breakage during an adjustment.
